Qualification : B.Tech/B.E.
Experience : 2 to 4 years.
Job Description :
Script Writing/Debugging/demonstrated proficiency equivalent to several years experience in shell scripting and environment debugging for UNIX/LINUX shells (bash, sh, csh, tcsh, ksh).
* Experience with the Shell scripting language and ability to program using this language.
* Excellent written and oral skills are required in working with engineers from a variety of cultures.
* Work with a variety of people in different positions. Positive results must be achieved in a team environment.
* An individual with an upbeat, friendly disposition.
* Customer Focus: need a good client friendly attitude.
* Self-Starter: should be able to work efficiently and effectively without day-to-day work instructions.
* SCM tools knowledge like Clearcase.
* Solving queries with respect to the above mentioned.
* Getting development engineers to use the tools thus will often require some investigation into their shell initialization scripts or software build scripts, some debugging, and some handholding until they no longer have any outstanding issues.
* Issues will need to be tracked and an FAQ list updated as appropriate, so as to not only educate the user base but also those advising the users.
* Monitoring of the tools and servers to ensure that they are operating properly. To the extent that this is possible, this monitoring will be automated in the form of perl, python, or shell scripting.
